| Pech Guillou, Lot et Garonne, France | ||
| Home Page | Quercy, the "Golden Triangle" The surrounding area, sometimes referred to as the golden triangle, provides outstanding scenery with rolling green countryside, attractive bastide villages such as Beauville, Pujols, Penne d’Agenais, Lauzerte and Puymirol plus historic towns like Moissac and Villeneuve sur Lot. The two local villages of Beauville and Laroque Timbaut provide a choice of boulangerie, small supermarkets, pharmacy and post offices. Laroque also has a bank with a cash machine. Agen and Villeneuve sur Lot (each about 10 miles away) have the usual large supermarkets and a wide choice of shops. There are many local markets; a full list is provided at the house, and they are superb places to buy fresh local produce. Golf, riding and tennis can all be arranged locally. Canoeing and boat trips can be taken on either the rivers Lot or Garonne, while children would enjoy a visit to the water parks at Montaigu de Quercy and Valence d’Agen. |
